Bondage

Flirt Glossary – Bondage

The term bondage comes from English and means roughly “unfreedom” or “servitude” . The term is used in the BDSM scene and describes practices in which the focus is on bondage or restrictions on the submissive partner's freedom of movement. This gives him an increase in pleasure.

There are different types of bondage, with sexuality and eroticism being an important aspect:

  • Purpose bondage: The partner is fixed in such a way that he is unable to move for the following action
  • Ornamental bondage: Serves as decoration and is used, for example, for photos. The partner is tied up and photographed in various poses.
  • Torture bondage: The purpose is to inflict pain on the other person - as punishment, or as an independent element of the game.

Safety is the top priority when it comes to bondage, as the practices involve some health risk. It is therefore important for everyone involved to agree on a code word or symbol in case the game should be aborted.

This means everyone can set their own personal limits.
