A femidom is a wafer-thin plastic sleeve with one closed and one open end. It lines the inner wall of the vagina like a second, very thin skin. In Germany, the female condom can only be ordered without a prescription in pharmacies or online.

Application:

The ring at the closed end is placed deep into the vagina, similar to the diaphragm. The other ring lies outside the entrance to the vagina, above the labia majora. The female condom must be sufficiently coated with lubricant inside and out before insertion.
